When Jelly came into my life 4 years ago one thing I really loved about him was his giant personality! That personality is where I drew my inspiration from. I also wanted to share his story. It is our job as horsemen to listen to the horses and their needs. When we do this they bring out the best in us as riders as we bring out the best in them as partners. I hope the book brings horse lovers of all ages joy as they read it.

“Jellybean Finds A Family” was awarded the Golden Wizard Book prize and is in the running for Book of the Year. It has also been submitted to the Bookfest Awards in NY which are announced in October 2023. It has been featured in Kidliomagazine and by a few other book reviewers with great reviews. Virginia was interviewed by Piper Klemm for the Plaidcast Junior podcast, which can be found on Apple Podcasts.

The next book of the series, “Jellybean Finds Friends,” is set to drop in fall 2023. Five books are planned for this series which will follow Jelly’s story as he continues his life in Maine.
